Meet the Knights at the Frying Pan Tonight! (Fri 6/25)
The New York Knights have the bye this weekend and will be letting their hair down at the Frying Pan in Manhattan tonight (
map). The Frying Pan is one of New York's premier summer bars and is a proud sponsor of the Knights. The bar sits on a dock at Pier 66 in Chelsea with stunning views over the Hudson and a relaxing party atmosphere either on the pier or aboard the actual Lightship Frying Pan, a historic ship built in 1929. The Knights will be at the bar from around 6pm and are looking forward to celebrating their early season success.

The New York Knights headed to Norwalk and enjoyed for their first ever victory against the Connecticut Wildcats. Final score was 34-20 to the Knights in a tough uncompromising match. Knights players' MVP Andrew Le Breton continually troubled the Wildcats opposition and was punishing in defense. Other stars for the Knights were Todd Fisher with a personal tally of 18 points and Etienne Valette in his A team debut for the Knights.

Coming off their defeat at the hands of the Warriors last weekend, the New York Knights are ready to unleash their vengeance on the Connecticut Wildcats this Sunday, June 20, 1pm at Andrews Field in Norwalk (
map). The Wildcats who rested last week with the bye are also coming off a loss against the Warriors and will be sure to make things very difficult for the Knights.

In a stunning come from behind victory that welcomed the New York Knights to their new home turf at Ken Strong Stadium, the New Haven Warriors defeated the Knights 34-25 in the final minutes. The Knights twice beat New Haven last year in similar fashion, including a tight playoff elimination match. The Knights' squad held the ascendancy for much of the match, but the Warriors were resilient and stormed home thanks to two key tries from Damien O'Malveny in the final quarter. The Knights hope to return to their winning ways next week against the Connecticut Wildcats.

After securing a first round victory against the Boston 13s, the New York Knights head to New Haven this weekend to face the fiercely competitive Warriors. While having one of the strongest rosters in 2009, the Warriors have furthered strengthened their squad with the recruitment of two professional Australian Rugby League players. Tony Duggan, who played for the Brisbane Broncos and ex-Cronulla Sharks player Jye Mullane, both arrive at the Warriors for a match that will give the AMNRL a true indication of who will be the key teams in this year’s championship. Kick-off is at 1pm on Sunday June 13 at Ken Strong Stadium in West Haven, Connecticut (

The New York Knights have started their 2010 campaign with a hard-earned victory over the Boston 13s winning 32-14 at Pier 40 in Manhattan last Saturday night. The Knights players' MVP was prop forward Mike Cartwright who was a powerhouse in attack, not only scoring two tries but making valuable meters on every touch of the ball. The next opponent will be the highly regarded New Haven Warriors at Ken Strong Stadium in West Haven (
map) at 1.00pm this Sunday afternoon (June 13).
Knights in Preparation for 2010 Championship
The New York Knights are well into preparations for the defense of their 2009 Championship. Under the guidance of returning Head Coach Guillaume Cieutat, the Knights are working on a combination of high-intensity fitness drills and Rugby League skills work. The first game for 2010 will be a home game against the Boston 13s on Saturday, June 5th, 8pm at Pier 40, Manhattan. Be there to enjoy an evening of high impact rugby league and to cheer on the Knights.
Fundraiser for Severely Injured Knights Player On April 10th at the Australian 7-10pm
Former Knight Mike "Jonesy" Jones suffered a critical "Christopher Reeve" like injury during a recent rugby union match. Jonesy, also known in rugby league circles as "The Cannon Ball", now lays paralyzed from the neck down at the Kessler Rehabilitation center in New Jersey.
