Knights Enjoy New York at Yankee Stadium
June 15, 2009
Fresh off of this weekend's win over the Bulls, a few of the Knights players and management took in the sunny weather on Sunday at the new Yankee Stadium to watch the Yankees defeat the Mets in inter league play. Knights CEO, Robert Balachandran(far right) was joined by three Knights players (from left) winger Steve Gowa, Half-Back Luke Hume and Center Col Manners as the four enjoyed watching the Yankees handily defeat the Mets 15-0.
Hume who enjoyed his first professional baseball game, was in awe at the stadium and the fans watching the game. "It was like a carnival, people were having a great time watching the game, I can see why they say that this is one of the greatest cities in the world!" Manners, who played with the Knights two seasons ago, was equally impressed with the stadium "...I went to a few games at the old stadium, but this place is unbelievable. It would be a great place to play a game of footy!"
The Knights resume practice tonight as they prepare for their game this weekend against the Axemen in Jacksonville.
