Knights defeat Boston Thirteens 46-30

The New York Knights looking more like the team that started the 2009 competition, defeated the upstart Boston 13's 46-30 last night in New York. Both teams are to be credited with playing a hard and fast game but the Knights with a very deep bench were able to put the game out of reach late in the second half despite a desperate charge by Boston.The Knights jumped out to a 26-6 first half lead with scores by Tom Schienzbach, Xavier Lozinguez, Sean Taylor, Ryan Coleman and Ji Hwan You.

The second half saw the Knights struggle early on by allowing Boston to score 4 early trys. Despite Boston's hard work, the Knights were able to regroup and score 4 trys of their own that second half and neutralize Boston's surge. Scoring for the Knights in the second half was Chris Carey, Ji Hwan You and Luke Hume.

The Knights will prepare this week for their second away game of the year against the Philadelphia Fight on Saturday in Philadelphia.
