Knights hold on in a Nail-Biter 22 to 22 against Warriors!
August 3, 2007

The New York Knights assured themselves a first round home game in the playoffs after a 22 to 22 tie this past Friday night at the Castle! While it will not go down in the record books as one of the Knights best performances, the game put the Knights in 4th place in the league table, just ahead of the Warriors. This means that the two will face off again next Friday night at the Castle in the 1st round of the single elimination play-offs.

Knights best Jacksonville 24-26

It was a 4am start for the 6am flight to Jacksonville via Atlanta. Boys all arrived safe and sound at the airport which was a little surprising given the hour. We arrived at the hotel in Jacksonville in time for a quick team meeting, a bite of lunch and a well earned nap before heading to the University of North Florida for the big game.

Bulls Edge out Knights in a Thriller 54-44

The Aston Bulls defeated the New York Knights 54 - 44 before a huge crowd at The Castle. The game was a see-saw match, with both teams holding the lead. Eventually it was the Bulls who were able to pull away and hold on for victory.

Knights Narrowly Defeat Slayers 36-34 in a War at the Shore Thriller

The New York Knights traveled to the 10th Annual War at the Shore feeling confident that they would have an easy go against the DC Slayers. Why not, they had beaten them every time the faced them before, why should this game be any different right? As soon as the Slayers took the field, the Knights could sense that something was different; and after the opening kick off they knew it was!

Knights Dust Raiders in Upstate Barnstormer

The New York Knights Rugby League Football Club throttled The Northern Raiders this past Saturday 38 - 4 in a scene that was reminiscent of a World War I battle. The Raider's pitch, located right next to Wallkill airport, had both planes landing and taking off as the two clubs duked it out. This combined with a turf that was mostly made up of a coarse hay like grass and a series of hills and gullies that mimicked trenches, made for an injurious and, at times, comical game.

Knights lose to Wildcats in a Thriller 38-30

The Connecticut Wildcats have once again retained the Deserter Cup by downing the New York Knights 38 - 30 at The Castle in New York City this past weekend. The Wildcats survived a late rally by the Knights to clinch victory and retain bragging rights in one of the AMNRL's more intense rivalries.
